Defining your website’s voice and tone helps you create on-brand content. Your website’s voice is like its personality. Think about how you might describe that in a few words, such as “knowledgeable”, or “professional”. That gives an overall idea of how your want your content to sound. The tone of your website’s content may vary depending on the audience. For example, some content might be aimed at beginners, while other content might assume that the audience is more informed.
I want to create my own blog, I have a few essays prewritten, could be fine blog posts to my mind. To be honest I am not sure from where to start. I think I will follow your advice about cold pitching and maybe practice in writing a little. Who knows, maybe I will be lucky to find some freelance writing jobs. Recently I was surfing the internet and found this site writorial.com. They say they always have available freelance writing jobs.
Involving influencers in your content creation can add credibility to your content, with the influencer’s credibility creating a halo effect around your brand. And some influencers double up and function as subject matter experts if they play in a particular niche or industry. Some influencers May even have existing relationships that make it easier to get earned placements with publishers.
Hello an thank you very much Elna this article was very informative and helpful. I am a writer and have been looking to use my skills to generate income. I had no clue where to start.I am happy to have came across this article. It gave me not only valuable information but inspiring motivation as well. And I definitely look forward to reading more content from you. Again thank you very much.
I appreciate all the information that you have given us. It’s something that I have been thinking about doing and I plan on going through the different steps you have here and putting myself out there. I love writing. Even if this was only a part time thing for a while it would still be great to write for people. I read an article about becoming a blogger too and she suggested even starting out as a ghost writer. What are your thoughts on ghost writing? #multi language content creator
My name is Florian Gawlitta. I am 24 years old, live in germany, and absolutely love to write and translate. People keep telling me that my stories move them, and that is why I want to write something for YOU, whether it's articles, stories or anything inbetween! Editing is also no problem! Need something more technical? No problem! I major in a niche technical writing major in germany, so all things technical writing or editing, I can do them! But I also love to translate anything from german to english or english to german - or many other languages. A lot of my writing can be found on Facebook "Florian Gawlitta, Writer and Dreamer"! Thank you in advance and have a wonderful day.
I'm a native German speaker from Germany. My core competencies are translation-work from English to German, (creative) writing in German, and audio transcriptions in German. I'm a professional and you can expect a high-quality result and fast turnaround. Please take a look at my profile to see what my clients say about my work. My professional background is in exchange work with other EU countries like Poland. We worked together with other students and our goals were to take part in a stage play about prejudices against people from different ethnic backgrounds. We also made a short movie about this topic. I've been freelancing several projects including a wide range of websites, e-mails, flyers, brochures, product descriptions ( mostly on Amazon), legal documents (e.g. Privacy Policies), data privacy, travel guides and many more. I am mostly interested in IT-related topics because my aim is to work as IT manager in areas like Silicon Valley. I am also specialized on games, video games, gaming, computer hardware, software, operating systems, and coding. I am qualified for the CertiLingua, a language certificate for excellent English work. I do not want to waste my time with games and shows and I want to make the best out of my life. That's why I hope to get as many jobs as possible. I love to do something productive because I love the feeling of accomplishing something great and the feeling of a workflow. Let's get in touch and find out if we are a good fit for each other.
This is an awesome post! Very informative and extremely useful. Good job! You definitely made a fantastic impression on me. I will be in touch as I seriously want to leave my “procrastination sphere” to a “professional world” of blogging. I am an English tutor and it’s just ripe for me to hold the blogging world to ransome and claim my share of the fun that goes with blogging.
This is very informative. I have always had a passion for writing and recently started a self hosted blog. my goal is to really get my name established, since I have no published work…yet and actually start doing what I am passionate about. This list gave me the tips I need to start on the right path. I will definitely subscribe and get the email course.

Your blog posts and tips have been motivational to say the least! I landed my first gig as a freelance writer by speaking with a contact at a local radio station. Turns out, he needs help creating fresh information for his website. He is happy to be a part of my new venture and even happier that he won’t have to write all of the copy himself! I was even able to negotiate a higher rate than may be expected for a newbie!
There are several ways to assess website content quality. If content appears in search engines and people who find it stick around to read it, the content is well optimized, and relevant and useful to visitors. Quality content uses proper spelling and grammar, and links to authoritative external sources. You can also assess the quality of your content by checking analytics data. Pages with a high bounce rate, low time on page, or low conversion rate may have poor content.
Your blog post has been extremely helpful, thank you so much! I’ve been doing some freelance writing on Upwork for a while now. I don’t take any gigs that pay anything below $10/100 words, but it’s often difficult to find clients that appreciate your work there. Most of the gigs are the “$0.5/100 words ABLE TO WRITE 3000 WORD A DAY AT LEAST” type which is sad. I’m gonna run with some of your suggestions here and see how it goes.
There is also the option to spin capitalized words (assumed to be proper nouns) as well as leave any number of words unchanged, depending on whatever you enter into the "ignore" field, separated by commas. You also have the option to only keep the sentences that were altered a minimum percentage, as indicated by the "Keep Sentences that Changed" option.
Hey, Elna! I appreciate your input more than you can imagine. I graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment, and while my focus is mainly writing scripts for film and commercials, I also blog. (Mostly for my own entertainment.) Still, it’s good to know there are ways to get going. Believe me, I’ve tried. But being a graduate with two kids and no hubby makes the task a bit daunting when I’m a “lone pilot.” Thanks again for your inspiration.
Thank you for this informative blog. This indeed enlightened a writer like me to be extra cautious as to what sites to visit. I have been writing as freelancer for barely a year now. Lately, I have been hired by a private client through a website not included in the ones you have mentioned. In just 5 days, I have written 22 articles/blogs for her but unfortunately, I was not paid. Worst, she became inactive on skype and on the site where we both are members. What disheartened me more was that I have found some of my blogs already posted online on different sites. Coming across this blog, I now have several options as to what sites to visit and what to do as well. Thanks again. By the way, I am a stay-at-home mom too.
You’re welcome! So happy you found this post helpful for you living in the UK! For me, I was a stay at home mom so I didn’t work at that time. I was a bit bored with the day-to-day of taking care of twins…you know diaper changes a million times a day, and cleaning up messes just as much. I needed a creative outlet so I explored work at home stuff online and my husband told me about freelance writing and being a virtual assistant. I immediately gravitated towards writing! #article rewriting tool
